CPL All-Star Saturday
On 1 December 2018, the CPL once again brought basketball back to The Palace (now known as the AIS Arena), with its 2018 Legends Game and All-Star Games.
The event showcased the CPL’s best players across all three Divisions, with exhibition games, 3-point shootouts, and crowd participation offering plenty of chances to win cash – all while supporting an amazing local charity. In the main event, NBL Hall-of-Famer and last years All-Star Saturday MVP Cal Bruton and his Legends fell short in their attempt to go back-to-back against CPL Division 1 MVP Johnny Southwell and the CPL Legends.
This year’s All-Star event was all about getting Baskets for Babies, with all proceeds raised going to the Newborn Intensive Care Foundation; a local charity that raises money for medical equipment, research and nurse education to help give the ACT and Southern NSW’s critically ill newborn babies the best chance to lead healthy, normal lives. The CPL is extremely happy to announce that a whopping $5,000 was raised for the Newborn Intensive Care Foundation at the event!

There was also a silent auction held at the event, with all money raised going to the Newborn Intensive Care Foundation.
